Recently sat down with Selena Gomez for a special conversation about one of her most empowering tracks. We talked about what it means to be “Rare,” and why the song’s message has always been so important to her. “I have such a heart for people,” she explained. “All I want to do is encourage people…make people know that it’s not always gonna be okay, but that’s alright. We’ll get through this.” As a kid, as an educator, as a storyteller, as a husband, and now, as a father, that has always been important to me too.
