8 February: listen to Wizards Of Waverly Pod hosted by Jennifer Stone & David Deluise

As the 1st episode of a new podcast hosted by Jennifer Stone & David Deluise – “Wizards Of Waverly Pod” came out yesterday, they spilled some new details right from behind the scenes of hit Disney series Wizards Of Waverly Place!

Jennifer Stone revealed that she originally auditioned for Alex Russo, who Selena Gomez went on to star as, but was offered the role as Alex’s BFF.

“It’s a much better fit, but watching it back now – Selena and my dynamic, I think we created something really beautiful.” – said Jennifer Stone during Wizards Of Waverly Pod

Its been also said, that Alex and Justin Russo originally were supposed to be twins, but later the plot has been changed.

“And Selena and David were twins. Which Im like, ‘that’s not gonna work’.” – Jennifer added

According to David Deluise, once, during the filming of Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena confessed, that she watched all the episodes of “Friends” and was inspired by Jennifer Aniston to give life to the most beloved wizard of Disney Channel.

Variety Magazine also reported that Selena already recorded one episode of the “Wizards of Waverly Pod” and has plans to return for more!
