Selena has donated to a Brazilian NGO that fights violence against women!
Selena has donated to Brazilian NGO – “Movimento de Mulheres” which based in São Gonçalo. The organization has been in existence for 33 years and fights violence against women & defenses the human rights of the most peripheral women.
The support will be provided by the Rare Beauty brand, in partnership with BrazilFoundation, through the Rare Impact Fund, a non-profit entity associated with the artist’s brand. Two Brazilian entities were benefited, the other is the Cactus Institute, which works in the debate and care with disease prevention and mental health promotion in Brazil.
According to Marisa (project manager for the NGO), R$ 120,000 will be spent on a project run by the NGO that has been in existence for 16 years, Neaca (Special Center for Child and Adolescent Assistance), which provides assistance to children, young people and adolescents who are victims of domestic violence and/or or sexual activity and their family members.
“It was truly something very private. Selena Gomez was a very important artist in my childhood.” – says Julia, the daughter of NGO’s manager Marisa Chaves de Souza.
